Required Training

Below you will find information and links to specific courses which volunteers in the FTBL are required to complete.

I. Rutgers Safety Course
Every Manager and Coach must complete the Rutgers Safety Course. This is a 3 hour course, and the cost is usually around $35. For your ease, cost of the course will be deducted from your work bond refund.

II. Abuse Prevention Training
Babe Ruth is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for its participant’s physical, emotional, and social development and to ensure that it promotes an environment free from abuse and misconduct. Babe Ruth requires all staff to complete abuse prevention training from Abuse Prevention Systems (APS).

III. Concussion Course
Every Manager and Coach must also complete the FREE Concussion Training Course (available online), and provide a copy of the printed certificate of completion to the Division Liaison no later than April 1.

The Team Parent and Scorekeepers are also urged to complete the Concussion Training Course and the Abuse Prevention Training.
